.NL Now EPP
On March 17, 2010, the official registry of the ccTLD of the Netherlands, SDIN, upgraded their registry system to EPP. With this migration to EPP many beneficial features and changes were made available for all registrants.
Forms - No Longer Required
When registering, updating or deleting a domain, it is no longer required to confirm via fax. All paperwork has been eliminated.
Domain Transfers via Tokens (Authorization Codes)
Each domain now has a unique "Token" (authorization code). With the authorization code for a domain, transfers can be initiated via the receiving (new) registrar. The losing (old) registrar will have the ability to approve the outgoing transfer for immediate transfer. If the losing registrar does not do anything, then transfers are auto-processed after 5 days.
.ES Upgrade
Red.es, the official ccTLD registry operator of Spain, recently completed a major upgrade of their registry systems on March 13 & 14, 2010. As a result of this upgrade, the following features have changed:
- .ES registrations are now processed in real-time with immediate responses
- Registration periods are now 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 years
- When transferring or deleting an .ES domain, the registry will now send a confirmation email to the admin-c contact of the domain. The admin-c will then have the ability to either approve or deny the transfer/deletion. Please note that in the event the admin-c does not respond to the registry email within 10 days, the transfer or deletion will be null and void.
.DE Now Supporting IPv6
On February 2, 2010, DENIC released a new tool for Nameserver-Predelegation-Checks called NAST (NameServer Tester). With this latest release, the registry is now able to support IPv6 Glue-records. HEXONET is one of the first companies offering IPv6 address Glue-Records for .DE domains. Access is through either our API or our Control Panel.
